About the Author

Joseph G. Munisteri was born in Italy and is the definition of the American dream. He came as an immigrant to the United States and grew up in New York with his Italian roots intact. Following high school, Munisteri received a scholarship to Yale University where he studied Chemical Engineering.

Munisteri went onto a very successful career - serving as the Vice President to Comstock, and Brown and Root. In the early nineties, Munisteri opened his own consulting firm, which provided knowledge and oversight to companies internationally. His distinguished career and numerous patents are detailed in his biography, “Born in Rome.”

  • A story nearly 90 years in the making, Born in Rome traces the path that Joseph G. Munisteri took from his earliest days in Italy to become a world-renowned business leader and beloved friend, husband, father, and grandfather. Equal parts autobiography and technology primer, this inspirational book details how Joseph's engineering expertise and passion for learning continue making sustainable, significant impacts on the energy industry—impacts that promise to revolutionize how hydrocarbons are valued on the world stage.

  • From his mother, Gertrude Inez Ziniti Patti, a physicist who worked with Enrico Fermi in the 1930s in Rome, Joe Munisteri was encouraged to learn and question in the fields of mathematics, physics and nuclear energy. How he applied all his considerable knowledge and experience over many decades to create new patents and manage large scale civil engineering projects in a number of countries makes for a fascinating read.
